About
Why this exists
The rules for moving a pet across a border are public, but they are scattered across several authorities, written for different readers, and — most importantly — ordered. Missing the order costs months. The commercial answer to that problem is usually a shipping company at several thousand dollars, or a sales-led guide whose accuracy nobody can check.
PET Travelling is the narrow alternative: the same public facts, assembled in the right order, with every statement traceable to the authority that made it and dated so you can see how fresh it is.
Scope is a deliberate constraint
Dogs and cats, moving with their owners, from the United States, Great Britain or Canada to Australia. Nothing else.
The reason is maintenance, not ambition. Each corridor has to be researched from its own authorities, encoded, tested and re-verified whenever a source changes. A site covering two hundred countries either has a large team behind it or is quietly out of date — and out of date, in this domain, is the same as wrong. Scope will grow one corridor at a time, and only when the previous ones are being maintained properly.
How this site can be held accountable
- Every consequential statement names its source and its verification date.
- The whole evidence base is public in the source register, including which sources have not yet been read.
- Every material change is logged in updates.
- Errors are corrected in public under a stated correction policy.
- What the site cannot do is listed explicitly in limitations and safety, not buried in a footer.
- How it earns, and what it refuses to accept, is stated in editorial independence.
